Each case is unique. Like most divorce lawyers, we charge based on the hours devoted to your case. Our current hourly rate is $260 per hour; the same rate is applicable to the initial consultation. If you decide to retain us we will request a retainer based on the complexity of your case. As the initial retainer approaches depletion, subsequent retainers will be required or monthly billing will be initiated. We will also sign an attorney client contract that will outline what we are undertaking on your behalf and what our charges will be. There are some instances where we charge flat fees for simple matters such as totally uncontested no issue divorces and would be happy to discuss that with you.
